Six Sigma Green Belt to Black Belt Conversion Course

Who should attend?

The Green Belt to Black Belt conversion course is for people engaged in administrative, process and manufacturing activities who have already been trained as Green Belts and who wish to augment their skills with a comprehensive coverage of Six Sigma techniques in order to be able to tackle more complex and larger improvement projects. Often these individuals are on a development path to becoming full time Continuous Improvement practitioners.

The Green Belt to Black Belt conversion course enables candidates to become competent Continuous Improvement practitioners and mentors of others by providing comprehensive coverage of all the additional Black Belt Six Sigma techniques not included in the Green Belt syllabus.

On completion of the course trainees will be able to:

  • Lead and manage complex and large scale improvement projects which yield substantial business benefits
  • Use Lean and Six Sigma techniques effectively
  • Manage and mentor teams to drive effective change

Course Duration (format):

5 days


Candidates will receive completion certificates in recognition of full attendance of this course.

Candidates will be awarded a ‘Practitioner’ certificate on completion and successful submission of a Black Belt improvement project final report.

The process uses project review to assess abilities against a number of key competencies, ensuring that both the theoretical and the practical application of the methodology are rigorously evaluated.

The certification process is designed to build upon a structured training programme and includes reviews of the applicant's performance in completing relevant improvement projects. Successful applicants receive Paloma certificates and are included on our Website database of accredited belts. Optionally a British Quality Foundation Lean Six Sigma Academy certificate may be requested.

Paloma Consulting has certified in excess of 1800 Green and Black Belts to its own rigorous criteria since 2000 before national certification was established.
