The client

We worked with the UK listed holding company of the world's largest cruise ship operator, an organisation which has a combined fleet of over 100 ships with regional geographic control of cruise ship operations. Well-known brands in the fleet have been operating world renowned passenger liners for well over 100 years.

Their needs

The client requirement was to train and certify Green Belts in the organisation chosen from internal project managers and staff working within hotel operations teams, who had previously received informal training. These managers were to gain something tangible personally at the end of any further training whilst they worked on existing processes designed to improve the cruise experience, health, safety and security of passengers and employees

How we helped

We helped the client develop data collection workshops and related process improvement projects, ran lean six sigma green belt training, led specific data collection and statistical data management and analysis training and coached and certified green belts when projects were completed to allow sustainability of ongoing project by project process improvement in embarkation, disembarkation, restaurant operations, payroll, staff training and hotel cleaning operations
